I just very recently got a Fisher F-70. Right after I got it I had to send it back and have a re-write of the software due to a glitch. Got it back and I love it. Also I just recently traded for a Coinstrike. This one will take awhile to get used to but that's ok. I'm a die hard Whites user, now using Fisher. Which Fishers do you use ?

Thats a nice picture Mike, I would like to see more closeup pix of peoples machines and their accessories.  You can find a few of them online but they don't show enough pictures of them to tell much about them especially the older ones.  I would like to see closeup detail of how the coils attach and the electronics.  I luv this hobby so much, I can't seem to get enough of looking at the tools.  Thanks...Len

Hi Mike, I also have a Fisher C$, a CZ 3D, and a Fisher 1236x2. I like them all.

If you had to choose between the 2 detectors posted, which one would you choose for relic hunting ?

For super depth in the stat mode the F75........Lightening fast response.

It really nails deep deep items of all sizes including buttons

If the F70 has a stat mode it will do great too... I hear it's all metal mode is deadly on depth

The F-70 is a great detector. I've always liked TID detectors and I'll have to admit that I am more satisfied with the F-70 than any other I have had. Weight has a little to do with it too.

The coinstrike is an all around detector, and has all metal mode..But it's a digital set up, and a little hard to learn. It does fine on relics, but it is an optimal coin hunter.

Has auto Gb, tracking, and you have to work the threshold in conjunction with sens for full benefits of the machine. It has great depth, and add a little 5" coil..it's deadly in heavy trash for picking up Indians, and deep Silver.. Also has an Iron mask mode 0 to 99......so you have to watch that setting if you want relics....

A great project would be for someone who knows how to operate this machine is to put together a DVD: "Hunting with the Coin Strike," kind of like what Bill Ladd did with the F70.

Robert....you might talk to Bill Ladd about a video. He is one of the best at using the Coinstrike.
