Hey guys and gals just was going thru some of my coins and found this 1921 U.S. Dollar any ideas what its worth?

hi dave, nice dollar you have there. but.... is that an "s" mintmark that i spied just above and between the d and o of dollar on the back? that will be the mintmark - made in san francisco.

If I'm not mistaken and I could be because it's been a long time since reading about the morgan dollar, I think the Carson and New Orleans are the most valuable. But really cool coins! I have one and won't let it go either.

| on todays market that dollar is worth about $30 in silver melt with a slight premium because it is a morgan and in nice condition. I remember finding several of them at a flea market a few years back and paying $5 a piece for them. the guy, who was disposing of an estae, was clueless and I bought the last 3 he had.
