I live in Arkansas.
I like to refer to it as Arkie Land because of all us weard red-necks.
But that is just breading. In some cases maybe in-breading...lol
Just kildding. We try to hide that.
I am a dissabled single parent of two teen aged boys. I house my
94 year old mom and metal detect all I can.
I found Tesoro and have been sold. That's all I use now.
The light weight and performance is what I love about these machines.
If there is anything I can help anyone with, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Forums helped me become a better detectorist.
I am happy to pay back and helpe anyone that I can.
I am not a guru. I just have a deep love for this hobby.
It's great to be here, please contact us and let us share your thoughts and
anything you have to share.
There is no dumb question.
No one is too green to be appreciated.
I wish the best of fortune to you all,
Tabdog

| Congratulations on being made moderator! Hope you are feeling better since your hospital stay. I can attest to Tabdogs knowledge and love for any thing Tesoro. He knows how they work and what you need to do to tune 'em and get the best you can out of any of the units that Tesoro makes. I live in Arkansas also. I am 50 and retired 2 years and 9 days ago from the state police. A better decision I have never made. I mainly CW relic hunt and here is a picture of a sword I found with my Cibola. It was drove straight down into the ground. All the brass parts were found about 3 feet from where the sword was drove into the ground...d2 Last edited on Wed Jul 9th, 2008 09:22 pm by d2

Thanks guys. I got a lot more pictures of stuff if y'all have just got to see 'em . I havent found a buckle or a plate yet mostly bullets and a few buttons. Befor I got my Cibola I found these with a fisher 1270. A fine machine but not what the Cibola is but it could be that I just never figured out how to work it correclty. I found all of these on a CW battle field at one time and if y'all have seen 'em forgive me for posting 'em again. 7 quarters, 2 half dimes, 23 dimes and all of them seated coins! Dates range from 1836 (thats the only one that aint seated) up to 1860. The rectangle in the middle is a squared CW bullet. I am guessing that the guy that lost it had made himself a good luck charm, it was found in amongst all the coins so I know it goes together...d2

Hi D-2 and thanks for sharing.
About that sword. Hope you don't mind, but I have to tell this.
The Union forces were sent to open up the river traffic from New Orleans.
They started at Little Rock which was captured and went south to clean out the opposing forces. The Rebs starved and harrased them. The farther south they went the worse it was. Few of the Union forces ever made it out of Arkansas. The suffering was terible on both sides. The Union forces were turned and heading north with the Rebs right on their heals.
Conditions were unbelieveable. You can not imagine a worse place to be in a fight for your life.
That's when they crossed D-2's area. I have touched that sword. I will never forget the fealing of holding such an object.
Thanks for sharing that special artifact.
Hope you don't mind the coments.
All I can say is that I would like to share the real, the awsome pressents of such an object.
Now, can anything motivate like that???
Thanks D-2,
Tabdog
