I wanted to share pics from a hunt Steve Moore  had in Virginia using the ATPro

here is the e-mail I received from him

Larry,

I’m attaching a photo of some of my finds from Culpeper County, Virginia, during the recent DIV.  I spent a lot of time testing the features and seeing how that hot red soil affects target ID, etc.

I did manage to get in some hunting and found some Civil War items during the second day there. Nothing extraordinary but here are some fired minie balls, a Spencer cartridge, a piece of buck shot, some camp lead and a curry comb probably used in the cavalry camp.

The AT Pro works very well even in those grounds, so it will be an excellent relic machine on any terrain that you can encounter in the U.S. Once I entered a changing area were the soil got very rocky and the red dirt was hot, I would just stop and ground balance to it. The automatic ground balance works well or the manual ground balance can be used. Either way the machine was easy to balance to the conditions when they changed. I’ve also used the AT Pro in the area of Dallas, Georgia, which is known to have some of the hotter soil in that vicinity. It also worked very well there. I’ll also attach a photo of some of the bullets, etc. I was digging in the Georgia red dirt with the AT.

the 2nd from right on top is a small musketball and the bottom right is a pistol shot that hit something and flattened out.

Very nice finds. How deep did these come? Also, has the AT Pro shipping date been moved up to December? I've been out of touch for 3 weeks.

My White's old Quantum II is back from repair. I haven't had time to field test it yet, but it seems to have lost about half of the depth, even with the sensitivity turned all the way up, I'm only reading .25 cents @ about 4" on the garage floor. Any ideas on that?

Second picture, second row, extreme left looks like a fairly contemporary semi-wadcutter handgun bullet?  But I am only seeing it from one angle.  Nice finds.  I am on the waiting list for an ATPro and can't wait!  Monty
